Higher Level Teaching Assistant-Pupil Welfare and Cover Teacher

The contracted hours start from Monday 3rd September 2019 and consist of 35 hours per week. This is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2020 subject to review.

The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant who inspires curiosity and promotes confidence and will join our new exciting team of staff.

This post is a varied role where there will be a balance of responsibility between classroom support, individual and small group support for vulnerable /pupil premium children and afternoon PPA cover across the school. The successful candidate would also be needed to provide cover for staff absences when required.

The candidate should be:

•    an excellent classroom practitioner
•    able to work effectively within a team
•    patient, kind and calm – even when under pressure!
•    committed to promoting school ethos and culture
•    professional and able to be a good role model
•    communicate effectively with all stakeholders and staff

A qualification specific to the role of Higher Level Teaching Assistant is required. Experience of working across the primary age range would be an advantage.

3 Roles - General Teaching Assistant with SEND
Grade C SCP 2-4 with SEN Allowance (£16143.08 to £16750.57) Term Time Only –Pro rata salary.

The contracted hours start from Monday 3rd September 2019 and are fixed term contracts until 31st August 2020 subject to review.

The governors are seeking to appoint 3 enthusiastic General Teaching Assistants with SEND to join our new exciting team of motivated and committed staff.

To be considered for the General Teaching Assistant with SEND position, you will:

•    Hold a qualification specific to the role of Teaching Assistant. (for example, NNEB, Cache Level 3)
•    Have experience of working with children with SEND
•    Have initiative to support in delivering highly personalised teaching programmes to children individual learners
•    Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
The 3 roles within our new structure are as follows:

Role 8 - 16.25 hours per week working mornings only. Supporting a specific child with an Educational Healthcare Plan for social, emotional and behaviour difficulties working within KS2.

Role 10 – 30 hours per week. Supporting 2 SEN KS1 pupils both with Educational Health Care Plans with a wide range of needs. Support is required in the classroom and over the lunchtime period.

Role 11 - 27.5 hours per week. Supporting the class teachers in the delivery of the curriculum together with providing support for a specific child on the Autistic Spectrum and with an Educational Healthcare Plan.

The governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Advanced Teaching Assistant to join our new exciting team of motivated and committed staff.

As an Advanced Teaching Assistant you will support class teachers in the delivery of the curriculum together with providing support for the pupils both within the class and within small groups out of class. This will involve delivering interventions during the afternoon sessions to small groups of children as identified by the class teachers. This role is initially to support and deliver interventions within Key Stage 1.

To be considered for the Advanced Teaching Assistant position, you will:

•    Hold a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare.
•    Have experience in planning and delivering specific intervention programmes
•    Have experience in working with smaller groups to boost attainment.
•    Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

There is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to cover PPA for one afternoon a week provided that they hold the qualification of Higher Level Teaching Assistant and should they wish to be considered for this additional position.
