Welcome! Exciting news for 2020 – Our friendly, child-centred RMS Nursery is now up and running. Places available for Easter, September and January starts. Visits very welcome so come along and see our multi-sensory, ‘loose parts’ and creative minds learning approach! Places also still available for September 2020 in our Foundation. Please get in touch with our school office and we look forward to meeting you!

The School Day

School hours
9.00 am - 12.00 noon, lunch, 1.00 - 3.25 pm (KS1)
9.00 am -12.15pm, lunch, 1.15pm  - 3.30pm (KS2)
During each morning and afternoon session there is a 15 minute break.

Transfer of care in Mornings and Afternoons

Parents are requested not to have their children arrive and be left unaccompanied on the premises before 8.50am. Children in KS1 are invited to enter school at 8.50am and will have access to activities designed to create a calm transition into school, ready for the day’s learning.
Ks2 children are supervised on the KS2 yard until 9.00pm, when the Class Teachers will meet and take their children in to begin their day.
The following are the arrangements for transfer of care and security in the afternoon. Parents will be asked to complete a Transfer of Care form each year.  Click here to download the Transfer of Care Form .  This indicates how each child will be dismissed.
If changes are made to this arrangement in the interest of children’s security please let the school know.
Your children will be dismissed in the following way:

Foundation Stage Reception Class

Please collect from the doors to the garden area at front of the school.

All KS1 Classes

Infant classes will be released from the rear classroom doors where they will be handed to a recognised carer.  No infant child will be released to the front gate.

All KS 2 Classes

Children will be released to the playground at the rear of the school, unless one of the following has been arranged.
    1.     Permission has been given for a child to be picked up from the front gate.
    2.     Permission has been given to walk home.
    3.     The children who travel on buses or in taxis will meet at the front of the School Hall. They will be walked to the bus by a member of the school staff.”
